France is one of the most beautiful countries in the world with its beaches, wine growing valleys and mystical snow-laden peaks of the Alps which attract people from far and wide. Apart from its mesmerizing natural scenery, ancient architecture and luscious cuisine, France is also home to the world’s first university founded in Paris, which is its capital, called La Sorbonne in the 13th century. French higher education is a small part of the educational establishment. However, all these establishments in itself specialize in a wide range of study programs. What’s unique about their education system is that the tuition fee in France is quite low, as the expenses for higher education are funded by the state. Another great thing about French higher education is that most scientific research is carried out by designated research institutes and not by the universities, which means the students will be able to study and learn in an experienced environment
The higher education providing institutions in the country offer degrees, diplomas and certificates that are recognized globally. It follows the structure of three years for Bachelor’s degree, two for Master’s degree and three for the Doctorate program. The French Higher Education system is modern and dynamic. The GrandesÉcoles of France are higher education establishments outside the main framework of the French university system.
The education system in France makes sure that the local and the international students are all same under a common shade. Under the law of France, the requirements for admission are the same, as are the degrees awarded. If the students are meritorious, the admission and promotional procedures in the country are easier. The minimum requirement for admission to any university course is the French higher secondary Certificate (baccalaureate) or an equivalent qualification.
Students will have to get IELTS score for almost all the university admission applications. Few institutes also accept students without IELTS (depends on the program and credential).

Once the student is done with the education, they get a year time to search for a job within their field of study. Students need to study or work for three years in the same field, but not necessarily for the same employer, to apply for citizenship.
